A Special Lights Display to Celebrate The Tiniest Patients

It’s that time of year again! The Hathaway Holiday Lights display is shining bright in Bangor.

Each year, the Hathaway family hosts the display at Veazie Community School in memory of their son, Alexander, and in honor of their son, Warren. The twins were boy on June 6, 2011 at 29 weeks. Alexander passed away shortly after birth, while Warren spent his first 51 days in the neonatal intensive care unit at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

EMMC is incredibly grateful for the community’s support. Just like you, we can’t wait to see the incredible display. The 2021 display features more than 70,000 lights, new interactive elements, one mile of extension cords, a 25 foot spiraling Christmas tree, and six leaping arches.

The lights are on from 4 to 9 pm through December 26.
