It’s a New Day at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center

EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is now Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, you local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program in central, eastern, and northern Maine.

The name change embodies EMHS’s evolution to Northern Light Health, and our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program’s role in funding children’s care, including technology and equipment used by Eastern Maine Medical Center’s skilled doctors, nurses, and other caregivers to save lives.

Most of the money is raised a few cents or dollars at a time by generous community partners including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Circle K, Dairy Queen, Log A Load for Maine Kids, University of Maine Black BearTHON, Marriott, Ace Hardware, Re/Max, and local gamers, through Extra Life. All proceeds stay in our local communities to support children’s care, much of which is not available anywhere else in the region.

“Our new name brings into focus our important role in ensuring the team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, and our other Northern Light hospitals, has the tools they need to provide exceptional care to children and their families from throughout the region, from Fairfield to Fort Kent,” says Kelly Pearson, director, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “We’re grateful for the community’s support, and excited about what the future may bring.”
