Kids Helping Kids, Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Meet Cooper, a nine-year old from Thorndike. When he was younger, he dreamed of being a paleontologist or a marine biologist. Today, he dreams of being a chef, and this summer, he decided to add a pinch of sugar, and a dash of salt to his favorite recipes and sell baked goods and other sweet treats at his brother’s dirt track races at Back 40 MX in Norridgewock.

Cooper is a great kid with a huge heart. And, he wasn’t done after cooking up the yummy treats. He decided to swing by Eastern Maine Medical Center today to donate his sales – all $700 – to EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. He wanted to make sure that he chose an organization where one hundred percent of the money raised was going to help kids! A heartwarming story, and it’s always refreshing to hear stories of kids helping kids! Thank you, Cooper!
