Life Is Better In Pajamas

For the second year in a row, our friend, Maggie, is on a special mission and she needs our help!

Each year on Maggie’s bone marrow transplant anniversary, this special kid does something to give back to the community that was there for her when she was sick. And like last year, Maggie is collecting new pajamas for Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Inpatient Pediatrics Department.

Pajamas hold a special meaning for Maggie. When she was a patient, one of the things that she enjoyed the most was receiving new PJs instead of having to wear a hospital gown. According to her mom, Lauren, “We know first hand that something as simple as a bright new pair of pajamas with a favorite character on it can really lift a child’s spirit during a very difficult and scary time.”

Maggie’s goal is to donate 250 pairs of new pajamas to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Donations of new pajamas (with tags on) can be dropped off to the Bangor Kohl’s through August 4th. Can’t make it to Kohl’s but still want to help Maggie reach her goal? Give us a call at 973-5055. You can drop off the donations to Northern Light Health Foundation and we’ll be happy to make sure Maggie gets them delivered to young patients.
