Riding for Miracles

Looking for a great opportunity to enjoy the weekend on your bike and help change kids’ health and change the future? There is a special ride on Sunday, June 12 in memory of Merlon “Junior” Sylvester, Jr.

Merlon’s family and the Red Knights MC Chapter 8 Millinocket invite you to join the charity ride in memory of Junior, who passed away in December. Proceeds from the ride will benefit Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ program.

Event details: Register in-Person at the Albion Fire Department. 15 Benton Road, Albion Maine, 04910. Registration opens at 10 A.M.  Kick-Stands-Up at 11 A.M.

For those who didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Junior, he was an Army veteran who served three tours in Vietnam, a volunteer at the Albion Fire Department for over 20 years, and a member of the Red Knights MC chapters 3 & 8.

He was also passionate about helping kids, and with his family’s support, the Red Knights, Maine Chapter 8, are presenting the Medical Center with a donation in his memory and on behalf of his family.

The ride will end in the Wing Parking Lot across the street from Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s State Street campus in Bangor where the Red Knights will host a check presentation.
